Synopsis: Mikami, a middle-aged ex-yakuza who has spent most of his life in prison, is released after serving a 13-year sentence for murder. Hoping to find his long-lost mother, from whom he was separated as a child, he applies to appear on a TV show and meets a young director named Tsunoda. Meanwhile, he struggles to secure a proper job and adjust to society. His impulsive, adamant nature and deeply ingrained beliefs create friction in his relationship with Tsunoda and with those who try to help him.
