Synopsis: On a rainy evening, 19-year-old university student Fumi Saeki meets 9-year-old Sarasa Kanai alone in the park, soaked and frightened. Estranged from her parents and unhappy living with her aunt, Sarasa begs not to go back. Fumi takes her in, and they live quietly together for two months—until he’s arrested for kidnapping. Branded a dangerous criminal, Fumi is vilified, while Sarasa is seen as a helpless victim. Fifteen years later, Sarasa Kanai and Fumi Saeki meet again.
