Synopsis: In the 1970s, Esther, a restless American, travels to Israel after her mother’s death to uncover the identity of a mysterious woman linked to her family’s past. Aided by Zayde, a professor with secrets of his own, her search leads back to a 1930s village in British Mandate Palestine, where a spirited young woman upends the lives of a widowed farmer and two other men. As past and present intertwine, long-buried truths come to light.
